Please find brief descriptions below of all of our E-learn advanced trading psychology courses. Why do we call it advanced? In short, because the theory and application move beyond the outdated and incorrect maxims of “control your emotions”, “trade what you see”, “plan the trade, trade the plan”. They are based on 16 years of trading, 14 years of coaching, the very latest out of the neuroscience labs and the experiences of the hundreds of traders we have worked with. We are 100% confident that the accuracy and efficacy are realities that cannot be found via any other trading psychology method or teacher. The courses are listed in order from most simplified version to most advanced. ACCESS is our most complete course, with the most in-depth exercises and intellectualizing, but don’t think that means our introductory course, Psychological Capital 101, isn’t revelatory in its own right! It is!
PSYCH CAPITAL 101 – This recording of an October 2008 workshop does exactly what it says—thoroughly introduces a trader to the powerful concepts in psychological capital. At one time trading was thought to be purely a numbers game. This workshop and the exercises show how using the concept of psychological capital gives a trader an enduring edge that is within their control. It debunks the standard ideas that a trader must simply accept all of their trades or attempt to control their emotions. This workshop revolutionizes your trading technique, helping you in your journey to become a much more consistent trader by being one who takes into account all of the data—both qualitative and quantitative.
MASTERING THE NEW PSYCHOLOGY OF RISK – This six hour unedited recording of a live workshop held in December, 2009 covers the cognitive aspects noted from the research of behavioral finance and applies them to short-term and long term trading. It focuses on improving perception and judgment in real time through helping the trader conceptualize the goals, objectives and realities of trading. Using the concepts from neuroeconomic research such as the social market hypothesis and relentless uncertainty, the course helps a trader re-imagine the task of successful trading. It includes numerous homework exercises to help students integrate the material into their understanding of the markets and risk decision-making. It is best used in conjunction with ACCESS, or certainly after a student has at least completed Psychological Capital 101, so that the concepts presented are not completely new to them. A basic understanding of psychological capital helps.
ACCESS YOUR PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL, Course & Coach – The platinum standard in trading psychology, this comprehensive study of the new psychology of risk and advanced trading psychology builds on Psychological Capital 101 and MASTERING. It includes eight chapters and is designed to be completed over a three month period. This interactive audio and video course clearly explains how a trader’s unconscious self-image becomes integrated into their trading perceptions, judgments and behaviors. It includes a completely new and different way to both think of and handle the emotions of trading through 15+ exercises designed to help you change the way you trade.
Live monthly student group coaching meetings led by Denise Shull are recorded and archived and can be viewed (or reviewed) at your convenience.
