Eugene B. Kalin, Ph.D.

Dr. Gene Kalin has been in private clinical practice since 1971. He is a professional member of the Society of Modern Psychoanalysts, the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis and the American Psychological Association.

Before studying people, Gene studied the weather. His work as a meteorologist infuses his approach to quickly understanding the patterns evident in human behavior. His background has given him an ability to integrate rational and emotional modalities of communication and relate to others in their particular manner of expression, which many clients, both traders and athletes, find refreshing and helpful.

Gene has worked with traders throughout his career as a psychoanalyst, helping them better manage their own fears of failure and possible humiliation.

His life experience has taught him what he now teaches: the practice of harnessing feelings of self-serving narcissistic gratification to better serve the ultimate goal.  His interest in the relationship between evolutionary forces and competition has lead to a unique ability to transform an understanding of evolutionary survival imperatives inherent in our genetics into a competitive edge in the markets.
